Design Concept
“reflect the silver moonlight”
Signifying wisdom, clarity, and loyalty, the pearl glows with a diffused inner light. It’s the only gem to come from a living creature – a natural prize as luminous as the full moon. While pearls can evoke the classic glamour of Hepburn and Chanel, their clean simplicity feels decidedly modern.
The Lunar ring places an 8.5 mm, BBB-grade Akoya pearl in perpetual balance between grace and strength, with a seamless band to secure the gem in place. We use Akoya pearls for their exceptional beauty and lustre. Harvested in Hiroko’s native Japan, they also provide a meaningful connection to our mothers, grandmothers, and the incredible women who wore these strands and stones before us.

Finishes
Mirror finish: A high gloss finish resulting in crisp clear reflections. This is the most popular traditional finish for silver jewelry.
Matte finish: A non-reflective finish created through a micro bead blast application to our mirror finish. This finish is unique, subtle, and elegant.
Care Considerations
Our Lunar silver ring come with either a tarnish resistant rhodium or gold plating. For general cleaning we recommend washing them in warm water with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Upon washing, dry immediately and safely store them until your next use.
Craftsmanship
Our jewelry is handcrafted and finished in Niigata, Japan. We work with a family based business that has been in operation since 1980. Niigata is known for their exceptional metal work and the craftsman that create our jewelry are no exception. All of our jewelry is hand cast and finished to perfection.
Our jewelry consists of .925 sterling silver with a 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper content, and our pearls are natural Akoya pearls
Finishes
We offer 3 different finishes, mirror, matte, and scratch. We are also open to custom orders if you prefer a different metal.
Mirror finish:Also known as polished finish. A high gloss finish resulting in crisp clear reflections.
Matte finish: Also known as honed finish. A non-reflective finish created through a micro bead blast application.
Scratch finish: Also known as satina finish. A texturing technique consisting of a series of tiny parallel lines.
Packaging
All of our jewelry comes in a handcrafted gift box which contains an information sheet describing the jewelry line and providing care considerations.
